The storm that was brewed long ago
Over the cauldron it was bound to spill
You knew, saw it coming still
See artificial light blur your vision
Now run uphill to meet your salvation
Hope its enough to outrun her starvation

Piercing screech from the magma below
Prelude to the mantle of blue
Waters rising up to kiss the moon
Then crashing down upon your soul
Their failure your torment
While the Earth trembles under your fragilities
The crashing down of monuments is near.

The Earth precious and ignored
Has underestimated you
Dear eclipse of faith
Where the sun of your fears
And the moon of your miracles come near
Show Mother how we fight to keep on
How we fight to live

The solidarity of many
Can barely satiate it:
The faith put on a helping hand
To pull you out of the ruble
Hand in hand to withstand it all
Step by step, each stair takes us higher
Mother left her mark
Now Father help us reconstruct their lives.

And still
After all its done
Its not her fault
That a crack's been made
To such a delicate structure
Man made no less
To intoxicate and plague
The life you sought to save.
Well, again I had a bit of inspiration and wrote it in one quick swoop. Not sure I've got my poetry mojo back yet. But decided to upload it either way. I'm sure you'll know what it is talking about.
I like it I think. Hope you do too. :)

Enjoy!

Hmm... the first stanza feels I don't know... off somehow.

The storm that was brewed long ago
[Long brewed storm]
Over the cauldron it was bound to spill
[the cauldron was bound to spill]
You knew, saw it coming still
you saw it coming — still]
See artificial light[,] blur your vision
Now run uphill to meet your salvation
[run uphill, meet your salvation]
Hope it[']s enough to outrun her starvation[.]

Dunno... kinda flows smoother without so many articles.
Unless that is you meant to make the first stanza choppy
:)
